I was feeling slightly woozy at the party. I couldn’t help but feel that the curtains were provoking me in some way. I decided I must go to the one room without any windows. So I peeled myself off my seat and crawled to the toilet, leaving what seemed to be a snail trail behind me. After several years I arrived at the bathroom, opened the door with my head and ascended to a seated position on the toilet. I shat violently. I knew that whatever had just come out of me was evil, something from the ninth circle of hell. It pained me but I had to look. I slowly got up and turned to see. I was relieved. Inside the toilet, bizarrely, was a map. It showed a light railway system not unlike the Tyne and Wear Metro. Each coloured line representing a route on the Metro was dotted with stations and their names. My eyes were drawn to one line, which seemed to shoot off, much further out than the rest. It had only one station at its terminus: a dot larger than the rest, labelled Infancy. I knew I must follow this map and find this place. It was as though I belonged there somehow, like I was from there. But first I would need a ticket. I checked my jean pocket, and to my amazement, crumpled up inside was a return ticket. I knew at that moment that I had the wont and means to Return to Infancy.
